Here is a the first half of a video I did to show at Reilly's 2-year birthday party. It was awesome. I need to be better about doing something similar for the other kids... Something like this (where it is more recent and everything is already digital) would take less time (and therefore be cheaper) than special projects where there is a lot of scanning or analog video conversion involved.
Reunion Video
I did a video to show at our 10-year class reunion which was really cool. We gathered 2-5 pictures from most of our classmates to show what they had been up to over the years. I won't post any of that, because not everyone might appreciate it. It is a fun idea for a class or family reunion or something though.
Family Picture Compilation
One of my aunts had the first 20 years of their family pictures all on slides. She had them converted, then gave them to me for me to clean up a little and put to music in video clips. Then she gave them to all of her kids. This was an awesome way to share the old (unviewable without a slide projector) family pictures with everyone!
